The EU census was originally treated as a point-in-time measurement and left alone: in April 2026 it parsed 1,360 centrally-authorised leaflets and found zero declaring wheat starch. On 23 October 2026 it was re-run from scratch anyway, to test that rather than assume it. The re-run parsed 1,777 leaflets with no parse errors and found zero again — wheat starch as an excipient sits in nationally-authorised generics, outside the set the EMA publishes centrally. The paired US/EU comparison was re-captured the same day on 125 molecules and the US label still names the starch source more than twice as often.
The April figures are not overwritten. They are the measurements the research papers report, so they stay exactly as published, and each paper now carries a dated replication section with the October numbers beside them. The live screening tool uses the October data.
